Our childhood relationships with our parents and caregivers can shape our beliefs about love, intimacy, and our own worth. Our parents (or caregivers) are basically the blueprint for what we believe about love and our self-value. The complexities of our childhood teach us what we believe about relationships. For example, if you grew up feeling responsible for everyone's happiness, you might unconsciously seek out partners who need a lot of care and attention. Or, if you were always the peacemaker in your family, you might find yourself drawn to guys who are emotionally troubled or unstable. But in the meantime it's that time again. Manifest Mondays! What is Manifest Mondays? I'm a huge believer in manifesting my dreams. Here on Ask Aunty Bri, every Monday I blog specifically about manifesting. What it is, how to do it, barriers that can hinder your success when it comes to manifesting and a whole lot more. What does Manifesting Mean? Manifesting has many meanings, but in a metaphysical context it means to "think about a specific goal often and with focus until you achieve it." The key words here are specific goal, often, and with focus. By honing your thoughts and intentions towards a specific goal, and nurturing that goal with unwavering focus (and faith that it's already done) until it materializes into reality. Manifesting is really an act of co-creation with the universe. By setting a clear goal, and focusing on it purposefully you can create the life of your dreams. You can have the career, business, or the relationship you always wanted. The sky is truly the limit. Manifesting does work, but it is not always easy. Enter affirmations! Affirmations are powerful statements that counter negative thoughts and self-beliefs. By repeating them regularly, you can reprogram your subconscious mind to embrace a more positive outlook. Ultimately, this new mindset will help you cultivate the life you've always wanted. By focusing on what you desire, affirmations can help reprogram your subconscious mind and attract your goals into your life. These small but mighty statements really can make a huge difference. But before you jump to conclusions and spiral into a vortex of "what ifs," take a deep breath and consider these tips: 1. Assess the situation: How to Deal with Your Boyfriend Not Texting You Back How long has it been? A few hours without a response isn't necessarily cause for alarm. This blog will go over what manifesting is, how to do it, and does it actually work (spoiler: it totally works!) Think of this as manifesting 101. In a world that often feels chaotic and unpredictable, the concept of manifesting has gained significant attention. It promises a way to take control of your life and shape your reality according to your desires. But what exactly is manifesting? Does it really work? Can you truly bring your dreams to reality through this practice? In this blog, we'll explore the essence of manifesting, examine its effectiveness, and delve into how you can incorporate it into your life. Understanding Manifesting At its core, manifesting is the art of bringing your thoughts, desires, and intentions into reality. This is done by thinking about a specific goal often and with focus until you achieve it. I t's a belief that by focusing your energy, thoughts, and emotions on a specific goal, you can attract that goal into your life. Manifesting operates on the premise that the universe responds to your thoughts and vibrations, aligning circumstances, opportunities, and resources to help you achieve your goals. Does Manifesting Work? Whether manifesting works seems to vary from person to person. Some people attribute their successes to the power of manifesting, while others remain skeptical, attributing these outcomes to coincidences or natural progression. Science doesn't yet provide definitive evidence for or against manifesting, as it deals with concepts that can't always be empirically measured. However, proponents argue that the process of manifesting can have psychological benefits, such as boosting motivation, enhancing focus, and fostering a positive mindset. In my personal opinion, manifesting does work. I have used it on my own life over and over again, and I plan to use it to grow my blog and YouTube channel. So follow me on my journey, and see manifesting working in real time. Practicing Manifesting If you're intrigued by the idea of manifesting and want to give it a try, here's a step-by-step guide to get you started: 1. Set Clear Intentions: Define what you want to manifest. Be specific and clear about your desires. Vague intentions may lead to ambiguous results. 2. Visualize: Close your eyes and vividly imagine yourself already in possession of what you want. Feel the emotions associated with achieving your goal. Set aside time for visualization. I like to do it in the morning before I start my day and at night before I go to bed. Visualization helps solidify your intentions in your subconscious mind. 3. Positive Affirmations: Create positive affirmations that support your intentions. Repeat these affirmations daily, either aloud or in your mind. Saying your affirmations and intentions often will reinforce your belief in the possibility of your desires coming true. 4. Embrace Gratitude: Cultivate a sense of gratitude for what you currently have and for the future manifestations. Gratitude amplifies positive energy and attracts more abundance. I cannot express how important gratitude is when it comes to manifesting. 5. Maintain High Vibrations: Stay positive, enthusiastic, and confident. Avoid negative thoughts and emotions that might counteract your manifesting efforts. This is not about toxic positivity, this about overall staying positive when it comes to manifesting. Manifesting is not always easy, and the bigger the dream the longer it will take to manifest. You have to trust the process and maintain a positive attitude when manifesting. 6. Take Inspired Action: Manifesting is not about sitting back and waiting for miracles. Take steps toward your goal. The universe often responds to your efforts by presenting opportunities and aligning circumstances. My step mom would often tell me, "The universe loves first steps. Take the first step and miracles will happen!" 7. Release Attachment: Strive for a sense of detachment from the outcome. While maintaining your intentions, don't become overly obsessed with the result. Trust in the process and timing. For me, releasing attachment is one of the hardest parts of manifesting, but it's so important. Once you master this step, manifesting will seem effortless. 8. Patience and Consistency: Manifesting might not yield immediate results. Stay consistent in your practice and patient in awaiting the outcomes.
